List of Trinity’s Ministries

Witnesses to Jesus in…OUR “JERUSALEM”
(members of Trinity)

Vacation Bible School. VBS is for children ages 3 through 6th grade to learn about Jesus Christ in a week-long program in the summer. Volunteer to host a Mt. Cross counselor, host a dinner at your house or volunteer to teach or assist with crafts, snacks, songs, or the Mt. Cross team. It is lots of fun!!

Confirmation: Trinity assists parents in training up a child in the way he or she should go (Proverbs 22:6). This class aids parents in nurturing and modeling the life of Christ to and in their children. Also, the Lord’s Supper Seminar is offered for parents and those age 10 and up.

Small Groups have the basic goal of helping one another grow one step closer in your walk with Jesus. Be intentional. Meet with someone weekly to encourage and build one another up in Christ.

Life Transformation Groups. An LTG is 2-3 men or 2-3 women gathering around God’s Word each week to encourage and build one another up in Christ—growing in Christ-like maturity and freedom. The LTG pamphlet in the entryway narthex describes the process in more detail.

Bells of Trinity. Join this three-octave handbell choir for rehearsals and monthly performances. Anyone can learn to ring!

Contemporary Worship Teams. Our Worship Teams lead the congregation in encountering God through songs of praise and worship. If you can sing or play an instrument, join a team.

Worship Assistants serve in leading God’s people through the worship service: reading Scripture, presenting the prayers, and serving Holy Communion at either service.

Children’s Church is for all children 3 years old up to 5th grade to grow in their knowledge and love of our Triune God. Sunday mornings after the 9:00 am worship Gospel reading. You can help by leading the children in worship and activities; it’s simple and only one Sunday every couple of months.

Sound and Video Operators enhance our worship experience by making our audio and video system run smoothly.

Readers read the Scriptures during our 9 am Sunday worship.

Ushers assist with the worship service—bulletins, offerings, etc.

The Altar Guild changes the paraments on the altar and sets up for Communion.

Greeters welcome people as they enter to worship. We can always use more greeters!

Refill and organize prayer cards and pencils.

The Lord’s Supper Seminar is a look at the multitude of riches God gives at the Lord’s Table. A better grasp of the Bible’s teachings will help you fully experience all that God wants to give you in Holy Communion. The Seminar is offered a few times each year on Sundays from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. It is open to everyone ages 10 and up. Let the church office know you’re interested. Check the bulletin to see when the next seminar is offered.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is a fraternal benefits organization that not only provides Christian financial guidance and products but also distributes tens of thousands of dollars each year to our area. See thrivent.com for more.

Prayer Chain by email and telephone for special concerns and thank you prayers for church members, family, and friends.

Peacemakers assist with Biblical conflict resolution, forgiveness, and reconciliation.

The Mission & Ministry Council operates on behalf of the congregation as Pastor Rowe’s accountability team. The MMC develops and monitors policy that helps our congregation stay focused on our mission of making disciples of all nations.

The Endowment Task Force works with the Pastor in overseeing the endowment funds, distributing the funds as part of Trinity’s mission, and raising awareness of the opportunities to give through the Endowment Fund.

The Visitation/Homebound Ministry Team visits sick or homebound people, bringing God’s love through singing hymns, praying or reading God’s Word to them.

The Ministry Advisory Team assists the Pastor in maintaining the overall health of the congregation.

The School Advisory Team assists the Principal in making sure our school is in compliance with State Law and our own policies.

The General Fund. Your tithes and offerings given in worship or through Simply Giving provide for ongoing ministry at Trinity. Two-thirds of your tithes and offerings pay our ministry staff. Another tenth pays the mortgage. Another tenth goes to Mission work.

The Endowment Fund. Your gift to the Endowment can make sure that ministry is funded long after your lifetime. As a steward of God’s gifts, we encourage you to meet with our District’s Planned Giving Counselor, Brian Hyde, who will help you realize your dreams for your family and ministries through a Lifetime Plan for Giving workshop and personal guidance. Contact a pastor or Brian directly at 209-613-2125 or Brian.Hyde@lfnd.org. Consider donating.
