By Pastor Chris Simmons

Know always that God’s Grace, Mercy, and Peace are yours through Jesus Christ.

  • Do you have any goals set for this year? Anything you want to do or start?

  • How is your progress? Have you been derailed? How can you get back to it?

Luke 4:42-44

42 At daybreak, Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for him and when they came to where he was, they tried to keep him from leaving them. 43 But he said, “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.” 44 And he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea.

Jesus experienced a lot at the beginning of His ministry. From the success of casting out demons and being beloved by these people, to a 40 day fast being tempted by the devil, even His hometown trying to throw Him off a cliff! Even through all things, He went to the Father in prayer. That kept Him focused on the goal.. The goal of you “I must proclaim the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.”

Prayer

Lord God, we confess too often we set goals and priorities above our relationship with you. Forgive us Lord. Help us see you in all that we do, the goals that we set for ourselves, and importantly to keep our relationship with you at the highest priority. We pray this all in the name of Jesus. Amen.
